PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (FT/PRN)
JOB SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist Assistant functions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and carries out treatment protocols established by the Physical Therapist, conducts general activity programs, and assists in implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups. Observes, records, and reports to primary supervisor the condition, reactions, and response to related assigned duties
EXPECTATIONS
Maintain high ethical and professional standards. Flexible in meeting the needs of the department (i.e. floating between hospital, wound care and outpatient, schedule changes, weekends.) Attend department meetings and participates in quality improvement. Follows policies and procedures. Reports to work on time. Assist with training new staff members. Maintains continuing education requirements. Assists with controlling inventory. Excellent communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Texas License and registered with the American Physical Therapy Association
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- CPR
